Chaperone

5:45 PM ~ 10:00 PM
Check in with volunteer coordinator in the band room at 5:45 PM. Chaperones will be riding the bus to and from the host school. Chaperones will be given a BOF badge to wear for admittance into the stadium. Upon arrival back to FIHS, return the badge, and wait for band dismissal. Be mindful of Greenville County Schools clear bag policy for sporting events, as this applies to chaperones.

Pit Crew

5:30 PM ~ 9:30 PM
Check in with the pit crew chairperson in the band room at FIHS at 5:30PM. Pit crew will be loading and unloading the equipment truck at both FIHS and Wade Hampton High School.

Chaperone

6:30 PM ~ 10:00 PM
Park in the teacher lot at the front of the school. Check in with volunteer coordinator in the band room at 6:30 PM. Chaperones will be given a BOF badge to wear for admittance into the stadium. After receiving a badge, report to the band section of the stadium (near the 50 yard line of the home section) to keep this area reserved for the band. Once the band has been seated in the stands after the National Anthem, find a spot in the reserved section, as chaperones will be responsible for monitoring behavior for the duration of the game. Remain in the stands until the band has finished playing the Alma Mater (after the conclusion of the game). Return to the band room with the band, return the badge, and wait for band dismissal. Be mindful of Greenville County Schools clear bag policy for sporting events, as this applies to chaperones.

Pit Crew

6:30 PM ~ 9:30 PM
Park in the teacher lot at the front of the school. Check in with the pit crew chairperson at the storage container by the band practice field at 6:30 PM. Pit crew will be given a BOF badge to wear for admittance into the stadium. Please return this before band dismissal. Pit crew will be transporting equipment and props to and from the stadium before and after the performance, and will be dismissed once all equipment has been put away..

Merchandise Assistant

6:15 PM ~ 8:30 PM
Park in the teacher lot at the front of the school. Check in with the treasurer in the band room at 6:15PM. You will receive a BOF badge for admittance into the stadium that needs to be returned prior to band dismissal. You will be responsible for helping to set up the merchandise tent in the stadium, assisting with the sale of merchandise until halftime, and breaking down and returning merchandise to the storage area. You will be dismissed after the merchandise has been stored.

Chaperone

2:00 PM ~ 11:00 PM
Park in the student lot. Check in with the volunteer coordinator in the band room at the start of the time designated for equipment loading on the itinerary. Chaperones will receive a BOF badge to wear during the day, as well as a first aid kit to keep on each bus. One first aid bag will be carried during warmups and the performance. Chaperones will ride the bus with the band to and from the host school. Chaperones will stay with the band the entire day, including in the stands after the performance, and will be available for staff needs. Walk with the band to the stadium gate. Watch the performance from the gate or the track closest to the stands. Unless you have been asked to assist with equipment by the pit crew chairperson, do not go on the field or touch any equipment (you may assist after the band has left the stadium). Chaperones will return to the school with the band, return the first aid kits and badges, and are dismissed at the time of band dismissal. Free admittance is determined by the host school, so please be prepared to pay for admittance. Upon arrival to the host school, check in with the pit crew chairperson to see if arm bands for free admittance are available. Be mindful of Greenville County Schools clear bag policy for spectator events, as it applies to chaperones at band competitions.

Pit Crew

Park in the student lot. Check in with the pit crew chairperson at the storage container near the practice field at the time determined once the itinerary has been finalized. Assist with loading equipment and props onto the trucks at FIHS. You will be responsible for your own transportation to and from the host school. Follow the buses and check back in with the pit crew chairperson at the host school. Assist with equipment and props in the stadium before and after the show (detailed instructions will be provided from the pit crew chairperson). Return to FIHS to help unload equipment and props before dismissal. Free admittance is determined by the host school, so please be prepared to pay for admittance. Upon arrival to the host school, check in with the pit crew chairperson to see if arm bands for free admittance are available.
